Program Educational Objectives
PEO1: Our graduates will assume effective roles in accommodation establishments, travel agencies, tour operators, and tourism-related institutions, using the theoretical and practical knowledge they have acquired in the field of tourism management.
PEO2: Our graduates will pursue careers in the tourism sector as professionals with strong analytical thinking, teamwork skills, and communication abilities in the fields of management, planning, marketing, and service quality.
PEO3: Our graduates will contribute to the development of the tourism sector with a sense of environmental, cultural, and social responsibility in line with the understanding of sustainable tourism and ethical values.
PEO4: Our graduates can take up positions in the national and international tourism sector by continuously improving their professional knowledge and skills, or they can advance their academic careers through postgraduate education.
Program Outcomes
PO1: Possessing sufficient knowledge of the basic concepts, theories, and practices related to the field of tourism management and being able to use this knowledge in professional practice.
PO2: Being able to analyze managerial and operational problems encountered in tourism businesses, develop solutions, and possess decision-making skills.
PO3: Understanding and applying the management, marketing, finance, and operational processes of accommodation establishments, travel agencies, and other tourism businesses.
PO4: Having knowledge of service quality, customer satisfaction, and experience management in the tourism sector and being able to develop applications accordingly.
PO5: Being able to conduct research in the field of tourism, use data collection and analysis methods, and interpret the findings.
PO6: Being able to evaluate the economic, social, cultural, and environmental impacts of tourism activities and develop solutions in line with the concept of sustainable tourism.
PO7: Being aware of professional ethical principles, social responsibility, and professional standards.
PO8: Being able to work effectively individually and in intra-disciplinary or inter-disciplinary teams and demonstrating leadership skills.
PO9: Having strong verbal and written communication skills in Turkish; being able to use at least one foreign language at a level sufficient for effective communication in the tourism sector.
