Together with our first-year students of the Department of Tourism Management, we successfully completed the hotel and cultural tour organized in Isparta within the scope of the Accommodation Management course. 🌿
During this technical visit, conducted under the guidance of Gonca Manap Davras, our first stop was Barida Hotels. Our students had the opportunity to observe all departments of the hotel on-site and gained important insights into the sector by receiving direct information from the managers of each department. The information shared regarding departmental operations, career planning, and ways to succeed in the sector was highly beneficial and informative for our students.
Following the detailed hotel tour, we held an enjoyable and inspiring discussion session at Shakespeare Coffee & Bistro, operating under Barida Hotels, with the participation of S. Sami Öngör, Chairman of the Board, Harun Şakayık, Hotel Manager, and Kezban, Sales & Marketing Officer. In particular, Mr. Sami’s entrepreneurial spirit and his success stories both in Türkiye and abroad had a strong impact on our students.
As part of the cultural section of our visit, we enriched our students’ cultural knowledge by visiting Isparta Glass Terrace, Prof. Dr. Turan Yazgan Ethnography Carpet and Rug Museum, and Scent Museum.
The planning and organization of the visit were supported by Hazal Ezgi Gündüz, and the process turned into an efficient and high-quality learning experience through the active participation of our students.
We believe that such activities, where academic knowledge meets field experience, play an important role in the professional development of our students. ✨
