In order to contribute to the professional development of our students in the Department of Tourism Management, a technical visit to Antalya was organized by the Tourism Routes Community. 🌿

Within the scope of the visit, our students had the opportunity to observe the operations of accommodation establishments on-site by visiting Limak Atlantis Deluxe Hotel & Resort and Sirene Belek Hotel. During the meetings held with managers and department heads at both hotels, comprehensive information was shared regarding the organizational structures of the establishments, their service approaches, and other hotels within their groups.

The tourism professionals’ sharing of their own career journeys and the question-and-answer sessions conducted with our students were highly productive and inspiring for the participants. Subsequently, through the hotel tours, our students had the opportunity to closely examine all departments, ranging from front office and food & beverage services to housekeeping and sales-marketing units.

In addition, individual interviews were conducted by the establishments for students who wish to take part in the sector during the summer period, providing important career opportunities.

The technical visit was carried out with the participation of Ömer Kürşad Tüfekci and Gonca Manap Davras from the Department of Tourism Management, and Merve Nur Çağlayan from the Department of Recreation Management. We would like to thank Ömer Kürşad Tüfekci for his contributions to the planning of the visits to the establishments.

The planning and organization of the technical visit were carried out under the coordination of Hazal Ezgi Gündüz, Academic Advisor of the Tourism Routes Community.

We believe that such practices, in which theoretical knowledge is reinforced through field experience, make significant contributions to the professional development of our students. ✨
